Who We Work With

Commercial Sectors We Cover

From single offices to multi-unit retail, we design and install systems suited to how your business actually operates.

Offices

Consistent year-round comfort for staff, with systems that heat as efficiently as they cool, and zoned control for shared workspaces.

Retail Units

Discreet systems that keep customers comfortable without disrupting shop layout, fitted around trading hours to avoid disruption.

Restaurants & Kitchens

Cooling and ventilation designed to work alongside extraction systems, keeping kitchens safe and dining areas comfortable.

Schools & Colleges

Reliable climate control for classrooms and halls, installed to minimise disruption to the school day and term-time schedules.

Warehouses & Industrial

Larger-scale systems for spaces with high ceilings and open floor plans, including ducted and VRF options where needed.

Landlords & Managed Properties

A single point of contact for portfolio maintenance across multiple units, with scheduled servicing to keep tenants comfortable.

System Types

Commercial System Options

The right system depends on your building, not a one-size-fits-all package. Here's what we typically install for commercial premises.

Single & Multi-Split Systems

One or more indoor units connected to a shared outdoor condenser. Cost-effective for individual offices, single retail units or smaller premises.

Ducted Systems

Concealed ductwork distributes air through discreet ceiling grilles, keeping the finished look clean for offices and retail spaces where appearance matters.

VRF / VRV Systems

Variable Refrigerant Flow systems for larger commercial buildings, offering zoned control across many rooms from a smaller number of outdoor units.

Fresh Air & Extraction

Ventilation systems that work alongside cooling to maintain air quality, particularly important in kitchens, workshops and high-occupancy spaces.

What It Costs

Commercial Air Conditioning Costs

Every commercial job is different, so these are guide figures only. Your fixed price is confirmed after a free, in-person site survey.

Space sizeTypical systemGuide price range
Small office or unit (up to 500 sq ft)Single or multi-split£2,000 – £5,000
Medium space (500–2,000 sq ft)Multi-split or ducted£5,000 – £15,000
Large space (2,000+ sq ft)Ducted or VRF/VRV£15,000+

Final cost depends on space size, system type, building access, existing electrical capacity and any structural work required. A site survey is the only reliable way to get an accurate figure, and ours are free with no obligation.

Keep It Running

Servicing & Maintenance

Commercial systems are built to last 15-20 years with regular maintenance, but efficiency can drop by around 5% a year without it. An unplanned breakdown in a working business isn't just inconvenient, it can be a genuine disruption to trade.

We offer scheduled maintenance plans so your system stays reliable and cost-effective, whether we installed it originally or not. If it wasn't installed by us, your manufacturer warranty may vary, but we can still service and maintain it.

  • Complete pressure and performance checks on every visit
  • Filter and evaporator coil cleaning to maintain air quality
  • Comprehensive refrigerant leak testing
  • Inspection of insulation, pipework, trunking and wiring
  • Detailed service report provided for your records
Common Questions

Commercial Air Conditioning FAQs

Yes, and it's often essential. Commercial kitchens generate significant heat from cooking equipment, and air conditioning helps prevent heat exhaustion for staff, maintain safe food storage temperatures, and improve air quality when combined with proper ventilation. Installation needs specialist design so it works alongside your extraction system rather than against it.
It depends on the size and type of system, the type of building, and where the outdoor unit is positioned. Smaller systems generally fall under permitted development rights. Listed buildings, conservation areas, and larger or more complex systems may need permission. We check this during your free survey.
As a general guide, a small commercial space (up to 500 sq ft) typically costs £2,000-£5,000, a medium space (500-2,000 sq ft) costs £5,000-£15,000, and larger spaces over 2,000 sq ft start from £15,000. The exact figure depends on system type, building access, and any electrical upgrades needed. A site survey gives you an accurate fixed price.
Commercial systems use the same refrigeration cycle as domestic units, just at larger scale. A refrigerant absorbs heat from indoor air at the evaporator, gets compressed and heated further, releases that heat outside at the condenser, then expands and cools again to repeat the cycle. Modern systems reverse this process to provide heating too.
Yes. We work around your schedule, including evenings and weekends where needed, to avoid disrupting trade or day-to-day operations.
Get in touch and we'll aim to resolve it as quickly as possible, whether or not we installed the original system. Our engineers carry common parts and will identify any manufacturer-specific components needed so repairs are completed with minimal delay.
